Good morning and completely satisfied Friday!! We have a giant weekend forward with Mazen’s golden birthday: 7 on the seventh! Grammie + Pea are coming to city, I’m taking popsicles to his class right now, we now have his good friend get together on Saturday and a household ceremonial dinner on Saturday night time to a enjoyable place Mazen hasn’t been to earlier than! Any guesses!?
Little boy needs to be a giant 7 yr previous so badly! He loves Mazen’s toys greater than something however few of them are child applicable. I remembered I had the large Legos (duplos?) tucked away and introduced them out so the boys may “play Legos” collectively. B likes to chew on them greater than constructing towers.
We have a brand new babysitter!
Speaking of my little boy – we now have a brand new sitter! I’ve waffled backwards and forwards between hiring somebody frequently, winging it, and making an attempt to do all of it. I made a decision that not less than till Birch is down to 1 lengthy afternoon nap I’m going to pay for an everyday, constant morning sitter. We’ve had her for every week and it’s been SO NICE. I’ve been leaving the home (!) from 9-12 and dealing in coffeeshops or on the gymnasium. I’m making an attempt to not really feel responsible for paying somebody to observe my youngster sleep as a result of the pliability and consistency is completely priceless proper now when naps could be unpredictable anyhow. And leaving the home has felt surprisingly refreshing. (Ask me once more in the course of winter….)
Smoothie in hand = transportable breakfast on my means out the door!
Increase your milk :: frozen fruit ratio and get a brilliant fluffy smoothie! It’s been my jam recently. Plus some granola clusters on prime.
An Unsung Hero: The English Muffin
We had some final week (the Vermont bread model) and used them a number of methods!
First – as a burger bun. I beloved how compact this burger was.
Second as a breakfast sandwich. This breakfast was truly made by Thomas! How candy of him. Although I’m undecided concerning the tomatoes. I could also be having fun with English muffins however I’m not English
We ran out of English muffins and I ate a leftover burger on prime of a Plenty soba noodle salad.
And this week’s Plenty salad was quinoa with edamame and veggies in a carrot-ginger dressing that was so refreshingly delish! Plus heirlooms from our backyard!
You guys know I put bizarre issues on salads. How about little bites of quiche! I minimize some up for Birch and put the remaining on my salad.
He tried some herbed goat cheese and orange slices for the primary time. Liked them each.
Hope you guys have a smashing weekend!
